Ekiti Church Members Freed After 67 Days in Captivity

Fifteen worshippers abducted during a night vigil on April 28, 2026 in Eda Oniyo, Ilejemeje LGA, Ekiti State have regained their freedom after more than 67 days in captivity. They were released in the early hours of Saturday and later taken to the State Teaching Hospital for medical attention. Authorities say an investigation is under way and security around places of worship in the area is being strengthened, according to local reports.
