Worrying Ebola Spread in Central Africa: Is Nigeria at Risk?
I’m really concerned about the recent Ebola outbreaks in the Democratic Republic of Congo and Uganda. The disease is deadly and spreads quickly. The US, Canada and Mexico now screen travellers from Central Africa at specific airports. They also have quarantine measures at points of entry. So far, our health ministry has said little about precautionary steps for Nigeria. With our current reactive approach, I fear the virus could already be here and spreading. What do you think Nigeria should do to prepare and prevent an outbreak?
