Criticize Me, But Keep Building Nigeria – President Tinubu’s Appeal to Youths
In his Democracy Day address on June 1, President Bola Tinubu appealed to young Nigerians to remain in the country and drive its progress. He acknowledged that Nigeria’s democracy isn’t perfect but stressed that it belongs to all citizens and must be defended and strengthened. The president urged INEC, security agencies, and political parties to ensure peaceful and credible elections in Ekiti and Osun. He encouraged critics to speak up yet never lose faith in the nation’s potential. To the youth, he said: “Build here, code here, work here and vote here. Every great nation was built by those who stayed to solve problems, not by those who abandoned ship.”
