If Femi Gbajabiamila Were Igbo: Exposing the Hypocrisy of One Nigeria

I urge you to imagine the PFIPC scandal unfolding around a man with an Igbo name. Would the EFCC, DSS and ICPC still hesitate? Would major politicians stay silent as they have for Femi Gbajabiamila? This case reveals deep tribal bias in our system. Politicians with the right name seem above the law while others face harsh scrutiny. Corruption, nepotism and religious bigotry shape who gets punished. Some argue that only full decentralization or a referendum can fix this. Others still believe in One Nigeria. Either way, we must confront these injustices and decide our path forward.

How might our trust in anti graft agencies shift if an Igbo politician faced identical allegations and silence from top leaders?

Spot on! It's hard to ignore bias when roles reverse, and suddenly we all demand answers.

It seems these scandals only gain traction when the accused lacks powerful political backing or belongs to a less influential region.
