Beauty influencer Sofia Murillo, 17, died alongside her mother, Wendy Manrique, 37, grandmother, Rocio Cubillos, 59, and pilot Alessandro Rocha after their sightseeing helicopter crashed in a forested area of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. The family had travelled from Colombia for a relative's 15th birthday celebration. Because the helicopter could take only three passengers at a time, Sofia, her mother and grandmother boarded the first flight while three relatives waited for the next one. The Robinson R44 helicopter reportedly departed Jacarepaguá Airport for a scenic tour on August 8 before crashing near Vista Chinesa in Alto da Boa Vista and catching fire. Brazilian aviation investigators and police are examining the cause of the crash. Authorities said the aircraft was certified for scenic flights.
