Arsenal have emerged as favourites to sign PSG’s young centre-half and left-back Emmanuel Mbemba on a free transfer this summer. The 18-year-old captained PSG’s Under-19 side to Coupe Gambardella success and has featured for France at Under-18 level. Despite an offer of his first professional contract from PSG, Mbemba is expected to depart when his youth deal expires. He has attracted interest from Bayern Munich, Barcelona and Bayer Leverkusen, but Arsenal have officially put their project forward after scouting him multiple times this season.
