Tinubu Orders ICPC to Probe Alleged Fake PFIPC Scam, Report Due in 30 Days

President Bola Tinubu has instructed the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC) to investigate claims surrounding the so-called Presidential Foreign Intervention Promotion Council (PFIPC), which the Presidency says has no legal standing. The probe will examine allegations of forged appointment letters, fraudulent diplomatic support requests and the opening of bank accounts by Prince Adeniyi Adeyemi Matthew, who claimed to be the agency’s Director-General. The ICPC must submit its findings within 30 days and recommend measures to prevent similar schemes. Do you think this independent investigation will strengthen public confidence in government institutions? Share your thoughts respectfully.

This investigation feels reactive—why wait until now instead of preventing unverified agencies from forming in the first place?

We should monitor the ICPC's thirty-day timeline closely and demand regular public updates to hold officials accountable.
