Chelsea to Release Hughes, Olise, Rak-Sakyi and Tauriainen at Season’s End

Chelsea to Release Hughes, Olise, Rak-Sakyi and Tauriainen at Season’s End

Chelsea has confirmed that defender Brodie Hughes, winger Richard Olise, midfielder Sam Rak-Sakyi and forward Jimi Tauriainen will leave the club when their contracts expire on June 30. Hughes departs after 13 years in the Academy, including last season on loan at AFC Wimbledon. Olise ends a decade at Cobham, having progressed from Under-9s to the first-team squad for the 2024/25 UEFA Conference League trip to Astana. Rak-Sakyi, an England youth international, made four senior appearances in the Conference League. Tauriainen, who joined Chelsea in 2020, was named among the substitutes for the 2024 Carabao Cup final against Liverpool.
