Morocco Battle Back Twice to Defeat Haiti 4-2 and Reach World Cup Round of 32

Morocco Battle Back Twice to Defeat Haiti 4-2 and Reach World Cup Round of 32

Morocco twice erased deficits to triumph 4-2 over Haiti in their final Group C match in Atlanta. The win secured their place in the last 32 despite finishing second behind Brazil on goal difference. Haiti opened the scoring early through Lenny Joseph’s deflection and even went 2-1 ahead after Wilson Isidor’s stunning strike. Morocco responded before half-time through Ismael Saibari and completed the turnaround in the second half with goals from Soufiane Rahimi and Gessime Yassine. The victory sets up a knockout clash against either the Netherlands or Japan in Monterrey on Monday. Captain Achraf Hakimi said he feels “very good” personally and professionally and is fully focused on maintaining his form.

Are you thinking more of a strategic tweak or a moment of individual brilliance that shifted things?

It's interesting that Morocco still finished behind Brazil on goal difference despite their strong comeback in Atlanta.

I no too see why Haiti's defence no adjust earlier after Morocco equalised, them allow too much space for that second comeback.
