IPMAN’s Chinedu Anyaso Honoured as Southeast Emerging Leader
Mr Chinedu Anyaso, chairman of the Independent Petroleum Marketers Association of Nigeria (IPMAN) Enugu Depot Community, has clinched the Southeast Emerging Leader award at the 2026 Africa Illustrious Awards held in Lagos on June 6. The award recognises exceptional contributions across corporate governance, business, community development, technology, philanthropy, education and agriculture. According to Dr Harris Madueke, a director at the awards body, Anyaso’s leadership and integrity in the downstream petroleum sector stood out. Serving two terms as IPMAN Enugu Depot chairman, he has built a conducive business environment for marketers and fostered strong ties across Anambra, Ebonyi and Enugu. His timely interventions have helped resolve member-government tensions, averting distribution crises and economic dislocation. On receiving the plaque, Anyaso expressed gratitude to the organisers and described the surprise recognition as a motivation to deepen his commitment to the petroleum community and society at large.
