Minister Wike Confirms Abuja Roads and City Gate Ready for June Commissioning
The FCT Minister, Barrister Ezenwo Nyesom Wike, has inspected key roads and landmark projects across Abuja and confirmed they are set for formal commissioning in June to mark the third anniversary of the current administration. He reported that the access road to Renewed Hope City in Karsana is 98% complete and praised Lubriks for the quality of work. The 17km Old Keffi Road from Kado Village to the Dei-Dei axis is in its final stages, with asphalt paving and street lights nearing installation. Highway 105 from Airport Road to Kuje, executed by Arab Contractors, and the Kuje–Gwagwalada Road (Phase 1) by Gilmor also earned high praise as stellar examples of governance in action. At the Abuja City Gate remodeling project handled by Julius Berger, Wike highlighted the First Lady’s vision and commended the contractor ahead of the early June handover. He also shared his views on the recent APC primaries in Rivers State, commenting on party agreements and candidate emergence.
