Kebbi South Senator Garba Maidoki Defects to ADC, Cites Injustice in APC
Senator Garba Maidoki of Kebbi South has officially left the All Progressives Congress for the African Democratic Congress. He says lingering internal crises and a lack of justice in the ruling party drove his decision. His letter of defection was read on the Senate floor by Deputy President of the Senate Barau Jibrin. Maidoki addressed it to Senate President Godswill Akpabio, explaining he no longer sees APC’s slogan of justice, peace and unity reflected in recent party primaries in Kebbi. Maidoki argued that the ADC offers a stronger platform to advance the interests of his senatorial district and Nigeria as a whole. He believes its values align better with his political aspirations.
