Dominion Over Darkness: Embracing Christ’s Defeat of Satan's Kingdom
In Mark 3:27, Jesus explains that no one can enter a strong man’s house without first binding him. The strong man represents Satan and his structured realm of demonic forces. Through His death, burial, and resurrection, Jesus disarmed these powers and granted authority to believers. As Matthew 10:8 and Mark 16:17 show, we are empowered to heal the sick, cast out demons, and demonstrate His kingdom. Believers don’t fight to obtain victory—they stand in the victory already won. Walking in the light of God’s Word keeps us aware of our dominion over darkness and the freedom we have in Christ. Prayer: Father, thank You for my victory over the forces of darkness. I claim Christ’s triumph and exercise my authority in His Name. Amen. Further study: Colossians 2:15; Luke 10:19; 1 John 3:8
