Dangote Group Increases Fertiliser Investment in Ethiopia to $4 Billion
Aliko Dangote has pledged a $4 billion fertiliser investment in Ethiopia to improve food security across Africa. He spoke in Gode’s Somali region, accompanied by Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed, to inspect the under-construction plant site. The expanded plan now includes a 110 km pipeline, a 120 MW power plant, a polypropylene packaging facility and a two-million-tonne NPK blending plant. Dangote said Africa can feed itself and become a net exporter of agricultural products. Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed welcomed the project’s potential to boost domestic production, reduce import dependence and create jobs for millions of farmers.
