Security Forces Rescue Ekiti LGA Vice Chair from Kidnappers

Mrs Grace Ogunleye, vice chairman of Ilejemeje Local Government in Ekiti State, has been freed after her abduction on Wednesday while returning home. The Ekiti Police Command confirmed that a joint operation involving police, military units, other security agencies and local vigilante groups led to her safe recovery. State police spokesperson SP Sunday Abutu announced the rescue in Ado-Ekiti. Ekiti’s Commissioner of Police, Falade Adegoroye, has ordered a thorough investigation to uncover how the kidnapping occurred and bring those responsible to justice.
