Married Doctor in Court After Two Lovers’ Dramatic Clash

Married Doctor in Court After Two Lovers’ Dramatic Clash

Dr David Madzikanda told a Harare magistrate that two women involved in a cyberbullying case are both his girlfriends, while he remains legally married to his wife. He denied plans to marry one of the women and said he has only one official wife who works at a bank. The dispute flared after one girlfriend became pregnant and tensions rose when she confronted the other at her home. The doctor testified that he owns the property where windows were broken and insisted only he could report any damage. The plaintiff says the second woman sent abusive messages and vandalised her home. She claims Dr Madzikanda once met the other woman in her apartment and even learned he has additional wives. The trial is ongoing at the Harare Magistrates’ Court.

It's hard to believe a court will focus on cyberbullying when the main issue is a married doctor juggling secret girlfriends.

I'm not convinced we should condemn Dr. Madzikanda before hearing all sides; personal relationships are rarely straightforward matters.

Perhaps it's time for clear communication guidelines and digital conduct rules for couples to prevent such public disputes.
