Salvation for All? Understanding What the Gospel Really Means
Salvation is offered to everyone but only those who fear God and live righteously receive it. The gospel makes no partiality: it doesn’t matter who you claim to be or where you come from. Peter declares in Acts 10:34–35 that God accepts people from every nation who do what is right. Jesus, already named Lord by the Father, has made peace with all through His sacrifice. At the final judgment (Matthew 25), the King separates the righteous and the unrighteous based on acts of compassion and mercy. Those who serve “the least of these” are welcomed into eternal life, while those who ignore them face punishment. True freedom from religious bondage comes when we recognize that no genuinely good person—regardless of belief—will be condemned if they live according to God’s standards. As 1 John 3:7–8 reminds us, righteousness aligns us with Christ, while persistent sin aligns us with the devil.
