Ahead of Eid-el-Kabir, Ogun Police Deploy Officers to Secure Festivities

Ogun State Police Command has boosted security measures across the state ahead of the 2026 Eid-el-Kabir celebration. The Commissioner of Police, Bode Ojajuni, has ordered the deployment of officers and resources to prayer grounds, major highways, markets, motor parks, recreational centres and residential areas. Area commanders and divisional officers are on high alert, conducting aggressive patrols and stop‐and‐search operations. They are working with community leaders and transport unions to gather intelligence and prevent threats. Residents are urged to remain vigilant, celebrate responsibly and report any suspicious activities. Parents are advised to monitor their children’s movements and avoid behaviours that could endanger public safety.
