Akor Adams Edges Osimhen to Nigerian Baller of the Week Award
Akor Adams has been named Nigerian Baller of the Week after an impressive Venezia debut in the Coppa Italia. The forward scored twice and provided an assist as Venezia came from behind to beat Modena 3-2. Adams edged Victor Osimhen, who scored a second-half brace for Galatasaray in their opening league match. Samuel Chukwueze was also outstanding for AC Milan, recording a goal and two assists in a 4-2 friendly win over Manchester United. Adams’ two goals and assist on his competitive debut gave him the edge in a strong opening weekend for Nigerian players in Europe.
