Adeleke Greenlights ASUU-FGN Deal at UNIOSUN, Orders January 2026 Arrears Payment

Governor Ademola Adeleke has approved the implementation of the 2025 ASUU-FGN agreement at Osun State University (UNIOSUN), with arrears payment set to begin in January 2026. The rollout covers the Consolidated Academic Allowance (CAA), the new tax-free Consolidated Tools Allowance (CATA) and Professorial Allowances. University officials say these measures will boost staff welfare, strengthen institutional stability and promote industrial harmony. Dr. Wende Olaosebikan, ASUU-UNIOSUN chairman, described the approval as a “clear demonstration of responsive leadership” and commended the state government, university council and management for their pivotal roles in delivering on the agreement.
