ABU Commends NSC Chairman Shehu Dikko’s Vision for Nigeria’s Sports Transformation

Ahmadu Bello University’s vice-chancellor led a delegation to the National Sports Commission to honour chairman Malam Shehu Dikko’s efforts in transforming Nigeria’s sports sector. He praised Dikko’s leadership, noting his achievements as an ABU alumnus and his goal to develop sports into a sustainable industry. The vice-chancellor highlighted ABU’s designation as one of six national sports centres of excellence and its hosting rights for the 2028 NUGA games. He affirmed the university’s commitment to partner with the commission in delivering these projects in line with Dikko’s vision. Malam Shehu Dikko welcomed the visit and expressed appreciation for the support. He pledged continued cooperation with ABU to advance governance, infrastructure and business growth across Nigerian sports.
