FCTA to Launch Industrial Waste Recycling Factories for a Cleaner Abuja
The FCT Minister, Nyesom Wike, announced plans to adopt industrial waste recycling after inspecting projects across Abuja. He noted that monthly sanitation and "Sanitation Saturday" only offer a short-term fix. The Administration plans to build specialized recycling factories to process refuse into new products. FCTA is reviewing proposals from global experts. The goal is to move beyond landfills and align with international best practices for sustainable waste management. Wike also reviewed key infrastructure. He praised judges’ residences and the N5 road, then ordered corrections to the Court of Appeal complex to ensure top quality. He dismissed concerns that government-built housing would compromise judicial independence.
