Court Dismisses Anosike’s Motion to Reverse APC Sack in Anambra

A Federal High Court in Abuja has struck out Senator Emma Anosike’s motion seeking to nullify the judgment that removed him and his executive from office. The court ruled it had no jurisdiction over the case because it is already before the Court of Appeal. It advised the plaintiffs to withdraw their application and continue at the appellate level. Meanwhile, a temporary stay of execution was granted only because there was no evidence the judgment had been carried out. Party officials confirm Chief Ifeanyichukwu Osegbo remains the legitimate Anambra APC chairman and urge members to stay calm.

What do you think led the court to dismiss Anosike's motion so abruptly, and what could be the wider political fallout?

I agree, that abrupt ruling hints the motion lacked solid grounds, and it could heat up internal APC tensions in Anambra.

The judge claimed lack of jurisdiction since the appeal is in progress, but that sounds too convenient for the APC and the court.

Surely Anosike should have anticipated this hurdle before filing in Abuja instead of directly appealing to the Court of Appeal first?

Local campaign teams should document all filings and court dates to avoid missing critical deadlines if jurisdiction questions arise again.
