Former Tinubu Campaign Coordinator Alleges APC Domination of INEC

Senator Kabiru Marafa, a former coordinator of the Tinubu/Shettima campaign in Zamfara, has accused the Independent National Electoral Commission of being packed with ruling party members. He warned that such appointments violate INEC’s non-partisan requirement and could undermine the credibility of the 2027 elections. Marafa argued that no single party can control Nigeria’s vast and diverse population. The former lawmaker also criticised INEC’s handling of internal party disputes and questioned its ability to act independently. He cautioned that any attempt to railroad the system in favour of one party would ultimately fail.
