Genevieve Nnaji Pushes for Pan-African Film Collaborations
Nigerian actress and producer Genevieve Nnaji has urged stronger collaboration among African filmmakers. Speaking on a recent industry podcast, she shared her long-held dream of intercontinental productions uniting talents across the continent. Having produced and directed Nigeria’s first Netflix-acquired film, she celebrated the rise of female directors, producers and storytellers in Nollywood. She believes the industry, though just 40 years old, has achieved so much in a short time. Genevieve highlighted the wealth of Nigerian and African narratives still waiting to be explored. She encouraged filmmakers to seize the moment and work together on pan-African projects.
