Osimhen’s Return Sparks New Energy for Galatasaray, Says Buruk

Osimhen’s Return Sparks New Energy for Galatasaray, Says Buruk

Galatasaray coach Okan Buruk says Victor Osimhen’s return to training has injected fresh energy into the squad ahead of their Süper Lig clash with Gençlerbirliği. The Nigeria international rejoined sessions on Tuesday after recovering from the arm injury sustained against Liverpool in the Champions League. His absence in the last three games saw Galatasaray’s lead at the top cut to just two points. Buruk praised Osimhen’s fitness and the positive effect he has had on the entire team during training, calling him one of the squad’s “locomotives.” So far this season Osimhen has netted 19 goals and set up seven others in 29 appearances for the Yellow and Reds. His comeback could be key as the side chases further success.

I'm not convinced that one player's training session alone can revive a whole squad's form this season.

No wahala, the coach should regulate Osimhen's training load and match minutes to keep him match-fit and avoid re-injury.
