TETFund-Funded EdTech Training Transforms Digital Learning at FCE Umunze — 1 of 4
1 / 4

Federal College of Education (Technical) Umunze recently hosted a zonal Classpoint software training funded by TETFund and delivered by Electronic Education Initiative (E-DON). This event underscores the college’s commitment to digitizing teaching and learning. The workshop, organized with the unit’s MIS Directorate, brought together lecturers, administrative staff and students for hands-on sessions in modern teaching technologies and digital classroom applications. As part of the intervention, E-DON donated a laser projector to support more engaging presentations and seamless integration of digital content in lectures. College leadership praised TETFund under Arc Sonny Echono’s guidance, the National Commission for Colleges of Education and the Committee of Provosts for appointing E-DON. Participants also thanked Dr Idon Akogun, E-DON’s founder, for delivering practical and relevant training geared towards innovative teaching methods.

It's impressive that TETFund backed digital learning, though educators may need more support to fully integrate Classpoint into everyday lessons.

This workshop sounds good, but without reliable internet and proper computers, all that software might sit unused after the event.
