Rangers Climb to NPFL Summit with 2-0 Win as Kano Pillars Upset Enyimba

Rangers moved to the top of the Nigeria Premier Football League after a convincing 2-0 victory over El-Kanemi Warriors. Daniel Itodo struck nine minutes before halftime, and Godwin Obaje sealed the win late in the game. At Ikenne, Remo Stars fought back from a goal down to beat Kwara United 3-1. Ibrahim Yahaya put the visitors ahead, but Ahmed Akinyele levelled within two minutes. Late goals from Hadi Haruna and Victor Mbaoma completed the turnaround. Elsewhere, Plateau United edged Bayelsa United 1-0 thanks to Farouk Umar’s second-half strike. Warri Wolves and Bendel Insurance played out a goalless draw, while Katsina United secured a 1-0 win over Shooting Stars through Elijah Akanni’s 66th-minute effort. Nine-time champions Enyimba fell 2-0 at home to Kano Pillars. Chiedozie Okorie opened the scoring early, and former Super Eagles captain Ahmed Musa doubled the lead on the stroke of halftime.
