GText Founder Warns: AI Revolution Could Erase 70% of Office Jobs

GText Founder Warns: AI Revolution Could Erase 70% of Office Jobs

At its 18th anniversary event, GText Holdings founder Dr Stephen Akintayo urged Nigerian youths to prepare for job losses driven by the AI revolution. He revealed that over half of his staff already use AI tools and that 70% of the company’s marketing materials are AI-generated. Akintayo warned that up to 70% of white-collar roles may disappear as firms adopt AI systems. He advised graduates to pursue vocational and service careers—such as welding, carpentry, private security, home management and driving—where human skills remain vital. He also explained GText’s move into agriculture, renewable energy, e-commerce and security technology. The company is developing solar-powered CCTV cameras and interactive security systems, aiming to boost productivity without fully replacing human labour.
