APC Sweeps All 18 Chairmanship and 192 Councillorship Seats in Edo LG Poll
The Edo State Independent Electoral Commission announced on Sunday that the All Progressives Congress won every available seat in the July 11 local government election. APC candidates secured all 18 chairmanship positions and all 192 ward councillorship seats across the state. Commission chairman Jonathan Aifuobhokhan said accreditation, voting, sorting, counting, collation and result declaration were conducted in line with the Edo State Local Government Electoral Law 2022 (amended 2026) and other regulations. Returning officers at ward and local government collation centres announced the official results before the commission confirmed the complete APC victory.
