Dennis Miller at 72: From SNL Legend to Political Commentator

Dennis Michael Miller (born November 3, 1953) is an American comedian, talk show host and political commentator. He gained fame on Saturday Night Live’s Weekend Update (1985–1991) and went on to host programs on HBO, CNBC and Westwood One radio. In 2020, he launched the Dennis Miller + One interview series on RT America. Inspired early by Jonathan Winters and Tim Conway, Miller pursued stand-up after graduating from Point Park University. Comedy Central ranked him among the top 25 greatest stand-up comedians, and Vulture named him the best Weekend Update host. Miller married former model Carolyn Espley in 1988 and they have two sons. Once known for liberal views, he shifted toward neoconservatism, backing George W. Bush, Herman Cain in 2012 and Donald Trump in 2016. With a career spanning decades in comedy, television and radio, Miller’s net worth is estimated at around $20 million, fueled by tours, broadcast shows and his current interview franchise.
