Benue Governor Vows to Expel Terrorists and Revive Taraku Mills

Benue Governor Vows to Expel Terrorists and Revive Taraku Mills

Governor Hyacinth Alia has reaffirmed his commitment to secure Benue State and drive out terror groups threatening local communities. During an unscheduled visit to Taraku Mills in Gwer East LGA, he inspected repairs aimed at bringing the dormant agricultural facility back into production. He emphasised that restoring peace on farmlands is key to unlocking Benue’s agricultural potential. Farmers were urged to increase soybeans, maize and groundnut cultivation ahead of the mill’s reopening. The governor praised engineers and host communities for protecting the mill during its inactivity and said a fully operational Taraku Mills will boost the state’s economy and create jobs.
