EFCC Summons Osun SUBEB Chairman Over Alleged Misuse of UBEC Grants
The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission has invited Ibukun Fadipe, Executive Chairman of Osun SUBEB, for questioning over Federal Government counterpart grants and intervention funds. A letter dated May 19, 2026, directed Fadipe to appear at the EFCC headquarters in Abuja on May 26. It cites the EFCC Establishment Act and lists eight issues, including evidence of counterpart funds, project execution records and contract documents. The agency also requested approval letters, payment vouchers and bank details linked to projects under the Universal Basic Education Commission scheme from 2024 to date. Fadipe must report in person by 10:00 hours for an interview with the Head of the Procurement Fraud Section.
