Jigawa Police Arrest 20-Year-Old Over Alleged Fatal Stabbing of Friend

The Jigawa State Police Command has arrested a 20-year-old man, Saminu Ibrahim, over the alleged killing of his friend following a dispute in Dabigel Village, Ringim Local Government Area. Police spokesperson SP Lawan Shiisu Adam said the misunderstanding between the two young men reportedly turned violent. Ibrahim allegedly stabbed the victim in the chest with a sharp metal object known locally as a danbuda. The victim was taken to hospital but was confirmed dead while receiving treatment. The suspect is in custody, and the case will be transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department in Dutse for further investigation and possible prosecution.
