‘My Backbone, My Angel’: Afeez Owo’s Sweet Tribute to Wife Mide Martins
Fans on Twitter recently celebrated Afeez Owo and Mide Martins as Nollywood’s most unproblematic Yoruba couple, praising their drama-free marriage and matching style. In response, Afeez showered Mide with heartfelt pet names, calling her his partner, playmate, backbone, angel, sugar, honey and everything. Reflecting on their 22 years of marriage, the actor also shared that he would choose to marry her again in his next life. He recalled their only major fight in 2016, which they privately resolved despite social media rumours. The couple married in 2005 and have two children. At a recent award ceremony, Mide knelt to thank Afeez for his unwavering support, especially after the loss of her mother.
