Why Femi Gbajabiamila Couldn’t Have Issued PFIPC Appointment Letters
Recent claims link the Office of the President’s Chief of Staff to alleged PFIPC appointment letters. Yet under Nigeria’s structures, appointment letters for statutory bodies are handled by the Secretary to the Government of the Federation and relevant ministries, not the Chief of Staff. If any documents were forged or mishandled, law enforcement must investigate thoroughly. Having worked with the Chief of Staff for over fifteen years, I’ve seen his legal rigor and respect for due process in every action. He does not have the authority to create agencies or issue formal letters independently. Allegations remain unproven until credible evidence or court verdicts emerge. Individuals wrongly implicated deserve their names cleared, and public discussions must stick to facts, not assumptions.
