Kwankwaso Clarifies Political Future Amid ADC’s Legal Challenges

Kwankwaso Clarifies Political Future Amid ADC’s Legal Challenges

I have noted recent reports suggesting a realignment within ADC over current challenges. I want to state clearly that no final decision has been made regarding my political future or that of my associates. The Supreme Court reaffirmed the legitimacy of the David Mark–led National Working Committee but remitted the matter back to the High Court. Meanwhile, the Federal High Court has invalidated the party’s last convention and the Attorney General has applied to deregister ADC. Like other key stakeholders, I have begun wide-ranging consultations with leaders from NDC, PRP and others to protect our democratic interests. We will announce our decision as soon as possible. On the question of the presidential ticket, ADC has not zoned or chosen any candidate. I have neither declared my intention to run nor endorsed any aspirant. Any speculation to the contrary is premature and unfounded.

What do you think prompted the ADC realignment rumors despite Kwankwaso's clear denial of any final political decision?

Do you know which events or reports first sparked these ADC realignment whispers?

Could this rumor stem from misread statements by ADC insiders rather than any solid political move?

It's interesting how the Supreme Court's endorsement of the David Mark leadership hasn't quelled speculation about internal ADC shifts.

I'm not convinced that publicly denying any decision fully stops factional maneuvering behind the scenes in the ADC.

Observers should watch upcoming party meetings for clearer signals on ADC's unity rather than rely solely on official denials.
