Troops of Sector 2, Operation FANSAN YAMMA, intercepted a Honda Civic on June 24, 2026 along the Sokoto–Gusau Road in Zamfara State. The driver was arrested on suspicion of supplying terrorists with military equipment. Authorities recovered 150 pairs of combat boots, three jackknives, three electric shockers, a tear gas canister, a military beret, a belt and several electronic devices including two Android phones, an iPad and a digital wristwatch. The suspect remains in custody as security forces profile the seized items. Military officials say the operation highlights their ongoing commitment to disrupting terrorist supply networks in the North-West and urge the public to share credible intelligence with security agencies.
