Whistleblower Demands Proof from Senator Nwoko on Paris Club Refund Claims

The Whistleblowers Network chairman has challenged Senator Ned Nwoko to provide evidence for his alleged role in the Paris Club refunds. In a letter dated April 21, Dr George Uboh faulted the senator’s press release that cited EFCC clearances. He insisted the anti-graft agency is still handling petitions against Nwoko. Uboh questioned whether due diligence was done on those EFCC claims. He cited correspondence from August 2024 and a 2018 memo from the then Finance Minister recommending the settlement. He urged the media to revisit the report and seek clarification from both the senator and the EFCC. Neither party has publicly responded as of press time.
