On Monday, July 20, the Kebbi State Hisbah Board rescued an infant found abandoned behind Zinari Hotel in Birnin Kebbi. Director of Shariaal Affairs Surajo Usman Kamba said the commission received a report about the baby’s abandonment on Monday morning. The infant, discovered in desperate condition, was transferred to an appropriate care centre. Security agencies have launched investigations to identify those involved. Hisbah is calling on the community to report any information that protects lives and dignity. They also urged parents and caregivers to seek legal solutions rather than resort to such crimes.
