Jonathan Poised to Submit PDP 2027 Nomination Form, Party Chieftain Says

Umar Sani, a PDP chieftain and former media aide to Vice President Namadi Sambo, said ex-President Goodluck Jonathan has bought his PDP presidential nomination form for the 2027 election. He made the claim during an appearance on Trust TV and said Jonathan plans to submit the form publicly. He argued that buying the form shows Jonathan’s serious political interest, not a party strategy to boost its image. Sani dismissed talk that the party is exploiting Jonathan’s popularity and expressed confidence that legal challenges to his eligibility would be dismissed since the matter has already been settled. Jonathan served as president from 2010 to 2015. Since leaving office, he has focused on diplomatic and mediation roles across Africa.
