How Subsidy Removal on Inauguration Day Impacted My Life
Today marks three years since President Bola Ahmed Tinubu was sworn in. I still remember every second of that hot day in 2023. I was hustling in my Keke with the radio on when passengers argued about alleged election rigging. Then my father called: “Subsidy is gone.” He urged me to buy fuel immediately before prices spiked further. Motorists and pedestrians panicked as petrol vanished from stations. From that moment, I questioned whether any of these policies have truly helped ordinary Nigerians. I believe our country can be great again, but many still struggle to put food on the table.
