Putting God First Through Faith, Giving and Soul-Winning

Putting God first means choosing obedience over comfort, possessions and personal desires. Abraham demonstrated this when God tested him with Isaac. He trusted that the God who gave him a son could also restore him, and God rewarded his faithfulness. The widow of Zarephath also put God first when she gave her last meal to Elijah during a famine. Though she had very little, her obedience was followed by a sustained supply of food for her household. Honouring God with our firstfruits and making His priorities our own are practical ways to put Him first. Believers are also encouraged to share the gospel, help others grow in faith and trust God with the outcome.
