146 Suspects Arrested in Joint ‘Operation Keep Sagamu Safe’ Raid

146 Suspects Arrested in Joint ‘Operation Keep Sagamu Safe’ Raid

On April 13, security agencies carried out an intelligence-led sweep across Sagamu and surrounding communities. The raid resulted in the arrest of 146 suspects believed to be linked to various criminal activities. Operation Keep Sagamu Safe brought together the Ogun State Police, Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, Amotekun Corps, the military, So-Safe community guards and local vigilante groups. The move targeted flashpoints where crime was on the rise. DSP Oluseyi Babaseyi explained that all arrested individuals are now undergoing screening to determine their level of involvement. Those found culpable will be transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department in Abeokuta for further investigation. Commissioner of Police CP Bode Ojajuni commended the professionalism and cooperation of all units. He assured residents that proactive, intelligence-led policing remains the priority for maintaining peace in Ogun State.
