Niger State Governor Vows to Probe APC Defectors, Emulate President Tinubu

Niger State Governor Mohammed Umaru Bago has pledged to follow President Tinubu’s lead by investigating former appointees who defected from the APC after the party’s primaries. Speaking at an emergency stakeholders’ meeting in Minna, he appealed to aggrieved aspirants to set aside their differences and remain loyal to the party. He warned that those who choose to leave should do so quietly or risk being labeled "noisemakers." The governor revealed he holds files detailing alleged misconduct by past appointees but has kept them sealed for the sake of peace. He also cautioned against spreading false information on social media and hinted at legal action for offenders.
