Alert: New Telegram Scam Posing as Jumia Task Team

A new scam ring on Telegram is impersonating Jumia to lure Nigerians with fake job tasks. They promise a small payment of ₦2,000–₦4,000 to gain trust before demanding funds. After each fraud, the group rebrands under a new name to avoid reports. They use a cloned site and various bank accounts, including “PRECIOUS CHINAZA NNOSIRI” and “ALIYU MUHAMMED YAHAYA,” to collect victims’ money. Always verify any unsolicited job offer. Google the account name or use a trusted Nigerian fraud-watch resource to see if it flags as suspicious.

Has anyone else received this fake Jumia task invite on Telegram? How do you tell the real team from these scammers?

I've seen that message too, it's clearly fraudulent. Always confirm through official channels before accepting any tasks.

It's interesting that after each fraud, the group simply rebrands to a new name and fake website to stay under the radar.

Always verify task teams by contacting official support channels and never send upfront funds or personal details before confirming authenticity.
