Tinubu Appoints Aisha Baiyee as North East Representative on MBNCWD Board
President Bola Tinubu has approved Hon. Aisha Baiyee’s appointment to the Board of the Maryam Babangida National Centre for Women Development. She will represent the North East geopolitical zone for an initial four-year term, effective immediately. The SGF, Senator George Akume, conveyed the decision in a letter issued by the Permanent Secretary, Dr. Ibrahim Abubakar Kana. Hon. Baiyee—popularly known as “Commander”—is a seasoned grassroots politician and women’s advocate serving as Director of Finance for the Committee of Youth on Mobilisation and Sensitization. Stakeholders, led by CYMS Director General Chief Obinna Nwaka, have praised the appointment as timely and well-deserved. They believe her leadership and commitment to youth and women’s empowerment will enhance the Centre’s work in promoting gender equality and socio-economic advancement across Nigeria.
