IGP Disu Inspects PCRU, Vows Prompt Justice and Rights Protection
The Inspector-General of Police, Olatunji Rilwan Disu, visited the Police Complaint Response Unit (PCRU) on Tuesday. He reviewed ongoing operations and underscored the need to safeguard citizens’ rights nationwide. Disu commended the PCRU for its consistent performance in addressing public grievances. He praised their achievements in promoting transparency and accountability within the Nigeria Police Force. During the inspection, the IGP stressed that all public complaints must be handled with promptness, transparency and strict accountability. “Citizens’ rights must be protected at all costs,” he said. He pledged increased institutional support to boost the PCRU’s capacity. His goal is to ensure the unit delivers justice efficiently and strengthens public trust in the police.
