Reclaiming Our True Lineage
The concept of a broad racial category is a colonial construct imposed for control and exploitation. Our ancestors once identified by kingdoms, clans, and nations, each with its own laws and accountability. By lumping diverse lineages into a single “race box,” this system erased our specific ancestral identities. It enforced a permanent underclass and masked the rich genetic and cultural diversity among people. Today’s institutions still rely on these broad categories, hiding individual heritage in favor of simplistic labels. To honor our true roots, we must dismantle the race box and rebuild alliances based on precise lineage and shared history.
