Kidnapping, banditry and hostage-taking are now big businesses, and there are insiders who fuel these crimes for political gain. Those who want power at any cost benefit the most from this chaos. They bypass institutions and rules to push an agenda that undermines peace and prosperity. Historical monopolies and ideological agendas have deepened divisions, especially in the North. Until we hold sponsors of violence accountable, insecurity will keep derailing our national progress.
